Good morning!
I don't know about you, but I don't like this unseasonably warm weather we've been experiencing.
Today is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. I want to extend my gratitude to all my deputies and our Fordyce PD officers for their continued hard work, sacrifices, and dedication to our citizens in Dallas County. I see you and the difference you make. Also, a thankful shout-out to our jail employees, dispatchers, and our LEO friends in surrounding counties.
I have some statistics from our recent DWI Mobilization campaign, which ran from December 12, 2025, through January 1, 2026. In Dallas County, we wrote 170 tickets, 87 warnings, served 8 warrants, and towed 24 vehicles. Among those citations issued, 7 were for Drinking in Public, 24 for Driving on Suspended License, 6 for No Child Passenger Restraint, 17 for No Liability Insurance, 11 for No Driver's License, 9 for Open Container, 22 for Expired Tags, 14 for Possession of Controlled Substance, 26 tickets for Speeding, and 65 Warnings were issued for Speeding. These are just a few examples of the infractions that were ticketed.
Let's look at Felony Friday:
Ross, Terrell of Fordyce; FPD Criminal Trespass
Miner, Robert of Fordyce; FPD Aggravated Assault on Family Member
Nussey, Phillip of Camden; DWI, Open Container, Driving with Suspended DL, Contempt Failure to Pay
Childs, Shanetta of Fordyce; Failure to Appear
I hope you all have a great weekend. Stay safe and God bless you.
Sheriff Mike Knoedl
