SHERIFF MIKE KNOEDL - UPDATE 3/27/2026

Good morning, Major Harmon here,
I hope everyone has enjoyed a great Spring Break! I know the kids are really excited about heading back to school on Monday....😜
I want to take a moment to talk about a few important issues we're seeing in the county:
-We've had reports of fake $20 dollar bills circulating. They may look real at first glance, but a closer look shows they are not. If you're receiving cash, please take a moment to check it carefully.
Knowingly passing counterfeit currency is a federal crime and can carry penalties of up to 20 years in prison and fines up to $250,000. If you come across fake bills, call us immediately.
-The Sheriff's office (or ANY law enforcement agency) will never call you asking for money to bond someone out of jail. We recently had a citizen lose nearly $2,000 to a scam like this. If you get a call like that, hang up immediately and report it.
We've had several serious accidents recently:
-A log truck rollover on Monday
-A tanker truck overturned on Wednesday
Both accidents occurred on Hwy 9, north of Princeton, in the same curve.
A big thank you to the Arkansas State Police, our deputies, local volunteer fire departments, first responders, hazmat crews, and towing companies for their quick response and hard work in clearing the roads safely.
If you drive a large truck, please slow down and stay alert; these situations can turn dangerous very quickly.
We appreciate everyone working together to keep our community safe!!!
