Good morning,
I hope everyone has had a good week. I took a few days off and went turkey hunting with my son in Texas. This is an annual event that we eagerly anticipate every year. Got a few gobblers and had a good time.
Just a reminder of an upcoming event being held at Fordyce School in the cafeteria on Tuesday, April 1 at 6:00 p.m. Miss Krissy Rainey at Fordyce Schools has asked us to conduct a training event for both parents and children, warning them of the dangers of the Internet. This training is free of charge, and we welcome you to attend. We will have some professional investigators in attendance to speak and answer questions.
Kerry Simmons and his crew have been productive this week. They have worked from Highway 229 to the Grant County line. They've cleaned up Highway 48 from Carthage to Highway 9. Then, they started down Highway 9 toward Holly Springs. Today, they left here bright and early, heading to Barner Street, and after finishing, they will go back out into the County. This crew is doing a good job in cleaning up roadways and helping to keep the County clean. If you see Kerry out and about, be sure to let him know that you appreciate his efforts.
