SHERIFF MIKE KNOEDL - WEEKLY UPDATE 05/23/2025

Good morning,

It's another week in the books here at the Sheriff's Office. Since our operation on Sunday, it has been a very busy week. After the 28 arrests, we have to make first appearances for all suspects. As you can imagine, a load of paperwork comes with each arrest. This paperwork is vital to completing a successful prosecution in court.

I want to brag on my deputies and all involved for pulling off a saturation of this size. These arrests would not have been possible without the assistance of surrounding counties and a few state agencies. Next, I want to thank our jail staff who must process each individual brought in. That process is very time-consuming and labor-intensive. As one can imagine, they are dealing with unhappy people who never imagined they would spend their Sunday in jail. My staff never ceases to amaze me daily. They work long, hard hours under adverse conditions without complaint. I am blessed to have such great employees!

I want to reiterate what I put out the day after last weekend's operation. Anyone who takes issue with illegal guns, drugs, and sex offenders being taken off our streets. You are seriously part of the problem. I want to thank everyone for the positive comments received this past week for the work being done by our staff. As long as I am Sheriff in Dallas County, we will not take our foot off the pedal. If you're selling drugs, stealing, possessing illegal firearms, or assaulting anyone, we will see you soon!

We had our monthly Circuit Court this past Wednesday, and some cases were adjudicated:

Stewart, Cole Wilton pled true to Revocation of Probation in three cases and received 5 years in the ADC for each case to run concurrently, along with costs & fees

Simmons, Latoucha Allen pled true to Revocation of Probation and was sentenced to 4 years in the ADC, along with costs & fees

Lawson, Danselle pled true to Revocation of Probation and was sentenced to an extension of Probation for 2 years

Baker, Jarmal pled true to Revocation of Probation and received a 1-year extension of Probation, $1000.00 fine, and costs & fees

Quarles, Bradley had 20 hours of community service added to his ASP case

Sorrells, Rose had 40 extra hours of community service added to her ASP case

Ford, Marlon pled guilty to Sexual Indecency with a Child and received 6 years SIS, costs, fees, and must register as a sex offender

McCoy, Dominique pled guilty to Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to ASP plus costs & fees

Scott, Dylan pled guilty to Battery 2nd Degree, and Furnishing/Possessing/Using Prohibited Articles and received 6 years and 20 years in the ADC, respectively

Parker, Ellen pled guilty to 3 counts of Furnishing/Possessing/Using Prohibited Articles and received 3 10-year sentences in the ADC to be run consecutively

Hammond, Eddie pled guilty to Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons receiving $1000 fine, costs, fees, and 5 years Probation

Mason, Keileigh pled guilty to Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Terroristic Act and was sentenced to 6 years and 10 years Probation to be run concurrently, along with the associated costs and fees

Jimerson, Jason pled guilty to Residential Burglary and was placed on the ASP program

Kerry Simmons and his crew have been working hard this week. They've been all over the county and today, they are doing some mowing on County properties.
