SHERIFF MIKE KNOEDL - WEEKLY UPDATE 10/10/2025

Good morning! I hope everyone is enjoying these cool mornings we've been experiencing this week. I certainly have.

I want to take this opportunity to remind everyone that our annual Shop With A Cop program has begun. There is an account at Fordyce Bank & Trust where you can make a donation if you wish. This program allows us to take children, who may not otherwise have enough funds to buy Christmas gifts, on a shopping trip with their parents. This is our 3rd year to host this program, and I know for a fact it has made a difference in these children's lives. It is heartwarming to see the awe and joy in their faces. It's one of our favorite community relations programs of the year. We have been joined by Fordyce Police Department employees as well as some Good Samaritans. Walmart has been a great partner in this program. I hope you will feel motivated to donate to this cause. Please keep us in your prayers as we try to help these children and their families. We will start taking applications for the children on Monday, November 3. This program is open to Dallas County children 12 and under. Beginning November 3, call 870-352-2002 extension 4 or ask for Penny.

Our jail administrator, Kat Shuler, and Captain Keith Axsom attended a meeting yesterday for Jail Administrators in Conway. The meeting was informative, providing valuable insights to benefit our department.
