Good morning,
I hope everyone is enjoying this cooler weather as much as I am! Hopefully, Fall is here to stay for a while.
We want to remind everyone to stay safe while trick-or-treating during Halloween. We've had several local events where kids could come and trick-or-treat. I want to thank everyone who volunteered their time to make those events a success.
Tonight is the big rivalry game between Fordyce and Rison. This year's rivalry game will be at Rison. We wish the Redbugs good luck and hope for an injury-free game. We should remind everyone to practice good sportsmanship during the game. We should all be setting examples for the kids.
We completed the drug take-back initiative last week, and I'm happy to report we turned over 112.13 pounds of unused and outdated medication. These medications will be destroyed safely. Remember, any unwanted medicines can be dropped off at the Sheriff's office anytime during business hours in the drop box located inside the lobby.
The youth modern gun deer season begins Saturday, and a quick reminder to stay safe, enjoy your time outdoors with the kids, and good luck!

Mitchell, Keibreana of Camden; Criminal Contempt
