Good morning,
Let me start by saying it has been a long week. I'm sure most of you have been seeing the updates I've been putting out on my page.
I want to relay how proud I am of the working relationship we have with the Fordyce Police Department, the Arkansas State Police, and all surrounding counties. This is the one thing I worked extremely hard on when I became sheriff. I will be attaching a press release from the Office of the United States Attorney for the Eastern District, issued yesterday, regarding a large, complex case we worked on with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. I will send this in a separate post due to the length of the release.
Deputies served a search warrant early Thursday morning, resulting in the seizure of 81 ecstasy pills, marijuana, and methamphetamine. This warrant resulted in the arrest of a sex offender who had an active warrant for failure to comply with registry requirements. This is another example of getting dangerous people and drugs off our streets. As always, I can't say enough about how hard your deputies are working for you each day!
I'm happy to announce Kenyari Cranford is back in custody. We featured him on warrant Wednesday a week ago. I want to thank the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office for their assistance in making this arrest. He is currently being held on a $25,000.00 bond for the felony failure-to-appear warrant.
I want to close this report by asking for continued prayers for the family of Jerron Rayford, who lost his life to an act of senseless violence.
